The Women's Council of Realtors, Flint Chapter, wrapped up their teddy bear drive last week and presented quite a herd of new stuffed bears to Sheriff Robert J. Pickell during his radio show on Flint's News Talk 1470 WFNT (Fridays from 11:00am--11:30am).

"When a deputy on a call encounters a child in a tense situation, that teddy bear really helps relieve the stress, not just for the child, but for my deputy as well.  The kids just grab right on to those teddy bears, and it gives them a sense of security," said Sheriff Pickell.

The Women's Council of Realtors brought a sample of the bears they collected into the WFNT studio to present to Sheriff Pickell.  In the picture above, from left to right: Dionne Oliver, Committee Co-Chair for the Teddy Bear Drive; Rob Moen, President Elect of the WCR; Mary Smith, Committee Co-Chair for the Teddy Bear Drive; Sheriff Robert J.
