Genesee County, Sheriff Pickell Reach Agreement

In a news release today, the Genesee County Board of Commissioners announced they have reached an agreement with Sheriff Robert Pickell regarding over-payments to his retirement and insurance funds.

The release goes on to say that after analysis of the over-payments, Sheriff Pickell has agreed to repay Genesee County $15,000.

The announcement also says "the parties would like to stress the fact that these issues arose though no fault of Sheriff Pickell who has, unfortunately, taken the brunt of bad publicity."

It ends with "the County has taken measures to insure that problems of this nature will not occur in the future."
