The dog park at Our Risen Savior Lutheran Church in Burton, off of Lapeer Road, is officially OPEN and they're already giving back to the community.

This Saturday, the dog park will be having a pumpkin fundraiser. The proceeds will be split between the Humane Society of Genesee County and to purchase new agility equipment for the park.

The fundraiser will be at the dog park from Noon to 2 PM. Stop by 4040 Lapeer Road to pick up a pumpkin.
Pay what you want for your pumpkin. Recommended minimum donation is $5.
We are thankful to Flushing Farms for helping us with this fundraiser.
Bring your dog and let them run around for a while after picking up your pumpkin.

The dog park was a community effort; even though COVID-19 delayed the opening, the organizers were able to raise $10,000 in just a few months to finish up the park and open it to the public.

Kris Johns and Vanessa Ferguson were the driving forces behind the dog park; they were also an integral part of the opening of the Grand Blanc Dog Park at Creasey Bicentennial Park.

“My wife and I, we live here in Burton and we just wanted a place to take our dog and the closest spots were in neighboring cities, so we wanted something here in Burton,” Johns told WNEM.

Please stop by and support this great fundraiser and bring your furry friends!
