Krave In Lapeer Hosting Benefit Breakfast For Deputy Mike Tappen
Krave Restaurant in Lapeer will be hosting a fundraiser for Lapeer County Sheriff's Deputy Mike Tappen. Deputy Tappen was shot four times on Wednesday, March 9th, while delivering a warrant on Willis Road in Brown City located in Burnside Township.
According to ABC 12, deputies and investigators were at the home of Robert Charles Raymond, serving a criminal sexual conduct warrant. Raymond was pronounced dead at the scene.
Deputy Tappen was taken to Hurley Medical Center and is now thankfully back at home. If you would like to show your love and support to Deputy Mike Tappen and his family, I encourage you to attend Breakfast for Deputy Tappen at Krave Restaurant on Saturday, March 26th, from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
Proceeds will benefit the Tappen family, and you can also make additional donations to the family at Choice One Bank.
Shout out to Tim Ostrom, owner of Krave Restaurant, and his awesome staff for putting this fundraiser together. If you have never been to Krave - this is the perfect time to check it out and enjoy some excellent food for a great cause.
I would also like to extend my gratitude to Deputy Mike Tappen and all members of law enforcement. From the 911 operators to the men and women working in the field every day, and every important job in between - thank you for all you do day in and day out to serve and protect us. You are appreciated.
Please keep Deputy Mike Tappen and his family in your thoughts. Krave is located at 195 West Genesee Street in Lapeer.
