MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU!

Well, this certainly is one way to waste time.

A Livingston County resident used Patton Oswalt's Star Wars filibuster from the hit NBC show Parks and Recreation to consume her three-minute time limit at a city council meeting on Monday night.

In case you're not savvy to what we're talking about, here's the original clip:

The group of angry citizens was protesting the council's decision to stop broadcasting the meetings live. It's called a "people's filibuster," and each person is allowed to talk for three minutes about whatever they like. In addition to the Star Wars speech, sunshine laws, and hand-lettering were discussed.

In the end, the city council claims that the amount they spend on live broadcasts of their meetings doesn't equal up to their viewership. No word yet on whether or not they have decided to bring them back.
