Once again, the power of people...and social media.

You might remember the story we brought you less than two weeks ago about Mr. Wiktorowski, the retired Bendle High School librarian who is in danger of losing his home. He takes care of his disabled sister and godson and, after being hospitalized, fell behind on his house payments. The home was sold at auction, and he has until May 7th to pay the $35,000 that he owes to keep his home.

As of this morning, they need $3,000 to help him reach his goal. The GoFundMe page indicates more but does NOT take into consideration private donations and proceeds from a fundraiser. I messaged the lawyer in charge of this mission and she gave me the $3,000 figure.
