Michigan Retailers Association, Flint & Genesee Chamber to Announce Buy Nearby Campaign

The Michigan Retailers Association and the Flint & Genesee Chamber of Commerce are teaming up to announce the local launch of a Buy Nearby campaign.

A press conference is scheduled for Tuesday at the new Flint Farmers' Market where local leaders will be on hand to encourage local shoppers to Buy Nearby. Among those scheduled to be on hand are: Jim Hallan, President and CEO, Michigan Retailers Association; state Senator Jim Ananich, District 27; Flint Mayor Dayne Walling; Flint Farmers' Market Director Dick Ramsdell and David Gaines from Gaines Jeweler.

The announcement is scheduled for 3 p.m. The new Flint Farmers' Market is located at 300 East First Street in downtown Flint.
