The Flint Farmers’ Market has been named as one of the best in the state. The recognition from the website A Healthier Michigan – an initiative of Blue Cross Blue Shield – comes one month after the grand opening at the new location in downtown Flint. The article says that this year “it has a brand new home and  you can usually find musicians, artists and story tellers tucked alongside the delicious food vendors.”

Of the recognition, Tim Herman, President of Uptown Reinvestment Corp. and CEO of the Flint & Genesee Chamber of Commerce says "this confirms what many of us already know - the Flint Farmers' Market is top notch. Being named as one of the state's top five is a testament to the dedication of the market leadership and vendors, as well as the market patrons from throughout Genesee County who have made local goods a priority in their homes."

Michigan has over 300 farmers’ markets. To find out more on the Flint Farmers’ Market, click here.
