The Flint & Genesee Chamber of Commerce will host their annual meeting next week and will feature GM’s Product Chief Mark Reuss as the keynote speaker.

According to a news release, the annual meeting will feature Chamber accomplishments in 2013, business success stories and focus areas for 2014. The Art Hurand Award, which recognizes and individual or organization that exemplifies outstanding community service, will also be presented during the meeting.

Reuss who is GM’s Executive Vice President of Global Product Development and in charge of developing GM’s product, including vehicle engineering and design in over 120 countries, will speak on product and community activities in Flint and provide updates on new cars and trucks.

Tim Herman, CEO of the Flint & Genesee Chamber of Commerce says this year’s annual meeting is happening at an exciting time for the region and it’s fitting to include a look toward growth in the future, along with a renewed commitment to the region from GM. “We are looking forward to our annual meeting. Every year we bring together all of our partners to acknowledge how important they are to the work we do every day. The meeting also serves as a platform for us to look at the impact the Chamber is having on the region,” says Herman.

The event is being held at the Holiday Inn Gateway Centre located at 5353 Gateway Centre in Flint on Wednesday, April 2 beginning at noon. It is free and open to the public, however registration is required. To register, contact Brian Sullivan at (810) 600-1404.
