DISCLAIMER: you are NOT reading a story from The Onion. But, to be fair, we thought the same thing at first.

Twenty officers with the Troy Police Department are in hot water over swiping the fire department's snacks.

An internal investigation started in January after firefighters reported the missing munchies. Previously, officers were allowed access and given key fobs to fire departments for meal and restroom breaks.

When Fire Station #4 was remodeled, their snacks were moved to a locked pantry. However, police officers assumed that they still had key fob access to the goodies, which turned out not to be true. They were written up and the case was closed.

We can't believe that this even made the news. What we DO want to know is...was Pawficer Donut involved?
