Why shop, when you can adopt? This is a great opportunity to find your new best friend and give a dog or cat a forever home. Here is everything you need to know about the one-day event.

When and where is the adoption event?

Saturday, April 23rd, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Genesee County Animal Control office, located at 4351 Pasadena Avenue in Flint.

Do I need to schedule an appointment?

No appointment is necessary. Interested parties just need to show up. You are encouraged to bring all family members living in your home to meet your potential new best friend. You may also bring any additional dogs living in your home. This gives everyone an opportunity to get to know each other.

Will there be both cats and dogs up for adoption?

Yes. Feel free to adopt one of each.

Is there an adoption fee?

Yes. The cost breakdown is as follows,

  • Dogs - $65
  • Puppies - $160
  • Cats - $20
  • Kittens - $65

Please note there is an additional $10 dog license fee for Genesee County residents.

Additional Information

While supplies last, Cops and Robbers will be providing ice cream to guests between noon and 2:00 PM.
