Yes, you read that correctly - there is a PUPPY available for adoption right now at Genesee County Animal Control.

Ladies and gents, meet Morgan. She's just 7 months old; she doesn’t know her name yet so, if you hurry soon, you can change it to whatever you'd like.

She is a slender mixed-breed girl who appears to be a lab mix in person. She's only about 35 lbs which is good because she will jump right in your lap. The team at GCAC describes her as an "affectionate girl that will be your shadow for life."

JUST LOOK AT ALL THE LOVING SOUL IN THOSE EYES!

Morgan did come to us as a stray so, even though we don’t know her history, we do know that she can’t wait to leave shelter life behind. Most puppies come in very playful and excited and she will just watch and observe everything around her.

She will take treats gently and she is easier on the leash as of now. She could reach up to 50-60lbs, though, so be prepared. She can be a bit shy at first but warms up quickly, especially if you have treats.

As long as you can provide toys, yummy food, and a face to kiss anybody can win this girl over. She even loves being around other dogs and kids!

The shelter DOES require a meet and greet if you have other dogs and we do not cat test our dogs anymore so we do suggest a very slow and proper introduction.

She's already fixed, vaccinated, and ready to go home!

GCAC is open by appointment on Tuesdays through Fridays, 12-5 and Sat 10-1 for adoptions.
