It sounds like a great weekend to go Christmas shopping!

Genesee Valley Center is hosting 33 student-run pop-up shops this Saturday, December 14th. The students are all part of Youth Biz, which is an after-school program offered at Flint schools. The students learn about profit-sharing, business plans, and marketing.

The stores will feature a lot of great gift ideas - blankets, bath bombs, Christmas decorations and more. K-12 students will be on-hand to sell their creations this Saturday from 11 AM - 2 PM in the JC Penney wing of the mall.

What a wonderful program that we didn't know about until today! Kudos to the Flint and Genesee Chamber of Commerce and the support of the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation.
