The Sloan Museum of Discovery is set to open in July.

The Sloan Museum of Discovery in Flint, Michigan has been undergoing a huge renovation, but the wait is finally over. The museum has announced the dates for the grand opening, which means families can head out to see all the changes starting on July 16th and 17th, 2022.

Flint really does have an amazing cultural center with so many things for the family to enjoy, like the Longway Planetarium and more. Now, the newly revamped Sloan Museum of Discovery will be back in action too. Timed tickets to check out the changes will go on sale on Friday, July 1st, 2022. The museum will feature some great galleries to enjoy, including the following.

Hagerman Street - Early Childhood Learning Gallery

This interactive gallery is a child-sized neighborhood that features roundabouts for tricycles, a three-story tree house, and shops. This exhibit is set to open on July 16th.

Durant Gallery - Vehicle Gallery

The Durant Gallery will have rotating exhibits that focus on the history and future of the automobile. This 11,000-square-foot gallery will open on July 16th.

History Gallery

The History Gallery will feature reimagined Flint history galleries spanning from the earliest inhabitants through current times. The History Gallery will also be open on July 16th.

Discovery Hall - Science Gallery

The science gallery will feature hands-on learning exhibits including a giant interactive Great Lakes water table, Earth Globe, and more.
