Any furrrever home is good news, but this one is extra special.

Margie had been badly abused when she arrived at Genesee County Animal Control last September. Naturally, because of how she'd been treated, she was skittish around people. She's also a pitbull, which worked against her.

A man named Bob Culbert wanted to help Margie, saying that his heart "went out to her." He lives alone and wanted another dog, so he started coming to animal control twice a week to work with her.

She went from not coming near people to jumping up to Bob and, last week, Bob took her home. He renamed her Madi to go with her new life.

Love this story! Congrats to BOTH of you!
