Seven Babies Born on Leap Day at Hurley in Flint
Five boys, two girls and a birthday every four years.
It's been a busy day at Hurley Medical Center.
The first baby born early this morning at 1:31 AM was Heavenly Gilbert, weighing 7.1 pounds and 20 ½ inches long. She's the youngest of four girls, born to parents Justin and Ariana of Mt. Morris.
Babies born on a leap day are typically called leaplings or leapers and the odds are pretty rare - you're more likely to be born with 11 fingers than to be born on a leap year.
Congrats to all the new families! The only bad part? The Facebook memory of their new addition will only appear every four years. ;)
