State Representatives Charles Smiley (D-Burton) and Jim Ananich (D-Flint) will address the work they and fellow House Democrats are doing to lift the unfair tax burden placed on Michigan seniors and the middle class.

According to the Representatives, last year, Republicans cut taxes for large corporations by almost $1.66 billion, but forced Michigan middle-class workers, families and seniors to foot the bill at around $1.35 billion.

The two will speak at press conference in Burton today. Reps. Smiley and Ananich will be joined by a retiree, Vaughn Smith, who has been affected by the new senior tax.
