Ahhhhh yes, cue the fake outrage. To quote The Weeknd, "I feel it coming..."

The CEO of Kroger has announced that the company will get rid of their single-use plastic bags at all of their stores by 2025. It's all part of their Zero Hunger | Zero Waste Management program, saying that it's a "bold move" that will help to protect the planet.

Stores will be transitioning to reusable bags that will completely replace the plastic bags in the next six years.

We saw this when we visited Hawaii - they don't have plastic bags at checkout; you have to purchase a reusable bag. It's hard to get used to at first, but it's not necessarily a bad thing.
