Free Roof for Michigan Man Who Found & Returned $43K – The Good News

Karma can be a beautiful thing.

Remember the man from Ovid (just west of Owossso) who found $43,000 in a used couch he'd purchased...and returned it? There's been an outpouring of support for him, and it'll just warm your heart.

A GoFundMe has been set up for Howard Kirby and is almost nearing $5,000, and a local building supply company in Saginaw has offered to give him a roof for his home.

He lives with his son, Ben, and daughter-in-law and to say that he's had a rough couple of years is an understatement. Ben and his wife had to move in after he lost his job; Howard recently had a kidney removed because of a tumor and lost a cousin.

Not only has he gotten financial support but he's also gotten texts from strangers who said that he's inspired them to do good.
