When a local man discovered through testing that his young son had been subjected to marijuana and cocaine from the environment in the mother’s home, he requested an investigation from child protective services. Frustrated by a lack of urgency in this investigation, he eventually filed a police report.

In our interview, Swimp claimed that the police department was also less concerned about the matter than he was. Thirty days after filing his complaint, he went to the police department requesting answers. He says this angered the detective in charge of investigating such matters. Then he ended up being the one charged for the very thing he was alleging that the mother did.
