Emma Hernandez was riding her bike on Monday (8/19) when the animals knocked the girl off her bike on a street near her home where she frequently rides. The dogs then mauled the girl which led to her death.

The dogs' owner, Pierre Cleveland, is being charged with second-degree murder, involuntary manslaughter and having a dangerous animal causing death.

Neighbors say the dogs frequently roamed the neighborhood unleashed. The girl's father had spoken with the dogs' owner within the past week about it.
