Confirmed Tornado Caught on Video in Kalamazoo
The National Weather Service in Grand Rapids has confirmed that the mass of clouds was actually a tornado.
The tornado, caught on video in Kalamazoo County on Saturday, has been classified as an EF-0, which is the weakest tornado on the Fujita scale with winds from 65-85 miles per hour.
The tornado was 100-yards wide and had winds of up to 75 mph. It traveled nearly a half-mile and was on the ground for about two minutes. Some damage was reported, including a tree that fell on a person’s house.
Thank goodness that nobody was hurt - now I don’t feel as bad about weather-geeking out.
