The proposal would bring more than 1,500 jobs to the area.

Last night, Pontiac Mayor Deirdre Waterman announced that Amazon is looking at the former site of the Pontiac Silverdome to be developed as a "distribution campus."

The mayor says that it's an ideal location for a workforce; it was originally offered up as a possible site for Amazon's second headquarters back in 2017.

If the plan moves forwards, the site would be home to Amazon's first site in the United States that would serve as fulfillment center AND a delivery station.

The development would create 1,500 full-time jobs and would likely make same-day delivery for your kitty litter more easily attainable.

Hey, remember when the Silverdome didn't implode? That was fun.
