Red Fox Outfitters in Fenton is Closing Permanently
The downtown Fenton business opened its doors in 2014.
The outdoor retailer made the announcement on Facebook on Friday:
It is with a healthy dose of the bittersweet that the Red Fox Team announces that we will cease retail operations at the end of April - just about 6 years to the day from when we first opened up our doors in Fenton's historic downtown.
The owners and most of the team hail from the area and we so enjoyed playing a role in active endeavors throughout the community. Whether it was outdoor education, helping out runners of all ages, or bringing the area a fly fishing shop and the classes and events that came with it, we truly are blessed to have had a lot of fun pursuing our passions and facilitating their growth in downtown Fenton.
While we loved the shop and the great pursuits and memories that came with it, the Red Fox team is excited for their next respective chapters, and we're excited for the next chapter of the building we've inhabited since 2015 - the historic Fenton Granary. The Big Barn has lived many lives since its construction in 1855, and we were grateful to play a small role in its illustrious history as a center of commerce and life in downtown Fenton.
Thanks, from the bottom of our hearts, to our customers and friends for the great memories, the passion for the activities we love so dearly, and for all the support through the years. We certainly loved giving back to the community, and only wish we could have even more the last 6 years.
Pop on in and say hey before we close our doors at the end of April! Effective immediately, we'll be discounting the entire store at least 25% off as we liquidate our inventory and prep the building for its next chapter.
Again - thank you Fenton for a wonderful 6 years, we so very much appreciate it.
-The Red Fox Team
No word on what will replace the store. Thanks for the years, Red Fox.
