State Senator John Gleason (D-Flushing) will be hosting a town hall to discuss recent changes to Michigan’s tax law. The changes, signed by Governor Snyder last year, went into effect January 1, they include the new tax on senior pensions and elimination or reduction of my individual tax credits.

The event will be held on January 19 at Mundy Township Hall, just outside of Swartz Creek, beginning at 6:30pm. Kathy Boles, Executive Director of the Valley Area Agency on Aging will also be in attendance as well as a panel of individuals knowledgeable on tax issues. Wayne Wright, Superintendent of Lake Fenton Community Schools, will also be on hand to discuss the impact the new tax rules will have on the community.
