Genesee County Athletes to Participate in Transplant Games

State Senator John Gleason (D-Flushing) will be one of five Genesee County athletes participating in the Transplant Games of America.

The Games, a multi-sport festival event for athletes who have undergone life-saving transplant surgeries and living donors, will be held in Grand Rapids. This will be Michigan's first time hosting the games.

Gleason has been a big advocate of organ donation after having undergone a kidney transplant in 2001.
