The City of Flint's Blue Ribbon Committee on Governance's last public forum will be held tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. The meeting will be held at the Insight Institute of Neurosurgery and Neuroscience on S.Saginaw Street near Hemphill Road, in the auditorium accesses through the glass atrium near the Hemphill Road entrance. There will be a presentation to familiarize attendees on the issues before small work groups are formed to discuss potential governance revisions the groups think are the most important to Flint.

Anyone wishing to attend one of the public forums is encourage to look over the materials to help familiarize themselves with the topics to be discussed. Participants are also encouraged to share additional thoughts on the workshop by emailing em@cityofflint.com with the subject "BRC Workshop."

BRC chairman Bob Wesley reiterated the importance of the community's participation in the workshop. Wesley said "these workshops are the venue through which the city's residents can share their ideas on how Flint governance will operate after receivership, so it is vital they attend and offer ideas for consideration.

All group recommendations will be reviewed by the BRC and submitted as a final report to the Emergency Manager.
