The Wayne County Airport Authority just voted to fire controversial CEO Turkia Mullin according to the Detroit Free Press.

The firing came after a nearly two hour meeting in which the board went in and out of closed session to discuss Mullin's fate. The firing passed by a 5-2 vote.

Mullin has been at the center of controversy since after word got out she received a $200,000 severance package after resigning her previous position within the county to take the CEO job at Detroit Metro Airport.
