I would think being featured on The Food Network would be a dream come true for any restaurant, diner, or bar owner - but being asked to appear twice on the popular channel has got to be even better.

That is exactly what happened to Krazy Jim's Blimpy Burger. The restaurant was closed for one day only, yesterday October 5th, for Food Network filming. It is not public knowledge (as of now) as to what show the network was specifically filming for.

According to MLive, the popular Ann Arbor spot was featured on Diner's, Drive In's and Dives back in 2008. You can see footage of that segment above. I remember watching it the first time it aired. The burgers look amazing and I absolutely love Davee Askew. As you will see in the video, Davee (at that time) had been working at Krazy Jim's Blimpy Burger since she was just 14-years-old. Now that is impressive.

I have lost many hours watching episode after episode of Diners, Drive Ins and Dives and it is really exciting when Michigan spots are featured. Like I said, I have no idea what show Krazy Jim's is going to be featured on - but once that information is announced I will definitely share it with you and of course, be watching.

What Michigan restaurants do you think should be featured on The Food Network? When it comes to burgers - my first thought is Timothy's Pub in Flint. Let me know what your hot picks are for burgers, pizza, and more. In the meantime you can check our list of Michigan restaurants that have been featured on The Food Network. Also, for all you foodies out there, Flint Restaurant Week kicks off on Tuesday, October 12th.
