The Army Says Relax, You’re Not Being Drafted

Take a deep breath, folks. You're not being drafted and neither are your kids.

With the conflict in Iran escalating, there have been multiple social media posts going viral about a possible draft. In fact, some people have been posting text messages that they've received, indicating that they're being drafted.

The U.S. Army is putting minds at ease - no, you're not being drafted. The texts are NOT from them; they're from scammers who are trying to steal your information.

Also, THERE IS NO DRAFT ANYMORE. It was abolished in 1973 and would take an act of Congress and the President to bring it back.

Breathe, everybody. And do NOT respond to these texts.
