Less than a week after opened fire at a military recruitment center in Chattanooga, armed citizens are making it their mission to protect the men and women who staff the Armed Forces Career Center on Linden Road in Flint Township.

"We’re standing guard over our troops. We're volunteers, some of us are vets, some of us are citizens. But we're patriots, we love our country, we love our troops, we support our troops. So we're out here to make sure they remain safe,” volunteer Matt Krol told WJRT.
