Special Event Curfew in Effect for Flint Fireworks
A special events curfew will be in effect for Flint's Fourth of July Fireworks event on Friday.
According to a news release from City Hall, Flint Police Chief Tim Johnson said they "are very excited about the events planned for Flint residents this coming Friday." He added that "we want everyone to have a good time and get home safe. We're calling on parents and guardians of kids under the age of 17 to make sure their kids are with an adult if they are going to be out after 6:00 p.m. Friday night."
The special events curfew was put in place in 2014 and states that it is unlawful for a minor under the age of 17 to be in designated public places (see map) specifically identified by the chief of police from 6 p.m. until 6 a.m. each day.
