Pothole Season Came Early To Michigan, Where Are The Worst Ones?
Early spring in Michigan is the time when potholes bloom and cars are broken. This year, pothole season has come early.
A weird warm weather stretch in January has gotten our pothole season off to an unusually early start this year. Yesterday I hit a pothole on NB 475 just north of Bristol Rd that sounded like a shotgun when my tire smashed into it.
I know this is Michigan, and potholes are just a fact of life. I also know that Genesee County isn't known for the great care that is taken for our roads.
I know those things to be true, but nothing can stop the rage that forms when I slam into a huge pothole on a major expressway. It's not like I'm driving on some back road and complaining about it.
I-475 in Genesee County looks very similar to the moons surface, but it's not the only area that drivers need to use extreme caution. Bristol Road in Burton, Hammerberg underneath I-69, Grand Traverse St . . . anywhere on Grand Traverse. Those are all the best places to give your car a good dealignment.
