Over 97K Pounds of Salad Products Recalled Due to E. Coli

More than 97,000 pounds of salad products are being recalled due to possible E. Coli contamination. The products have been sold in 22 states, including Michigan.

Now it's that much easier to save room for dessert.

According to the USDA's Food Safety and Inspection Service, Missa Bay, LLC is recalling the products which were distributed between October 14 and October 16. The use-by dates on the products are from October 29 to November 1, bud the USDA cautions that some may be in distribution centers, restaurants or institutional refrigerators or freezers.

The products bear establishment number “EST. 18502B” inside the USDA mark of inspection.

Most people infected by this particular strain of E. Coli (STEC 0157:H7) develop diarrhea (often bloody) and vomiting. Symptoms generally last for about a week, but some may last longer and can be more severe.
