The NAACP has filed a lawsuit against the state of Michigan over the Flint water crisis.

According to ABC 12, the civil right organization said the suit - which names Gov. Snyder and others - seeks "property damages, pain and suffering damages, emotional distress damages and medical monitoring for Flint residents and businesses." The NAACP is seeking class-action status for the lawsuit.

A spokesperson for Snyder's office says they don't comment on ongoing litigation.
