The Michigan State Police Flint Post has reported the first annual 'Stuff a Blue Goose' campaign held in Burton on December 14th was a huge success. Troopers from the Flint Post, along with Burton Firefighters, the staff from Toys for Tots, and Elga Credit Union braved the snowy weather and icy conditions to stand outside for over six hours collecting new unwrapped toys and cash donations. Everything that was collected was donated to Toys for Tots in Genesee County.

The final estimated count revealed that 800 individual toys and $2,000 in cash donations had been collected. Michigan State Police Trooper Josh Dirkse said "without the assistance from these businesses and organizations, as well as the generous donations from members of the community, our event would not have been so successful."
