MI Man Arrested After Crashing Into Kalamazoo Strip Club

A man was arrested earlier this week after he drove his pickup truck through the wall of a Deja Vu strip club in Kalamazoo.

The man didn't just crash into the building and and try and drive away. No, he drove his pickup through the exterior doors that lead to VIP overflow rooms. He blasted through the building and continued about 30 to 40 before being stopped by another wall. That dude was on a serious mission.

According to MLive, Deja Vu Showgirls Strip Club was closed when the crash took place around 1:30 p.m. Monday, April 11 at 1336 Ravine Road.

Holly Johnson, district general manager:

I’m not going to dip into the mind of a madman and guess why he did this. And we can’t live our lives around fear either. As far as we’re concerned, I have 200 employees that in this economic time need their jobs and I’m going to fight tooth and nail for them to keep them.

She said the man wasn't a regular at the strip club and had no idea why he would do something like this.

It'll be interesting to hear why this guy drove through the building. There has to be more to this story, something must have happened to cause him to do this. Unfortunately, we'll probably never know. However, Kalamazoo police said they plan to issue further information about the incident at some point.

Luckily, only one employee suffered minor injuries.

We did have an employee injured, but thank God that everyone was OK. They were working in this portion of the building when the incident took place.
