‘Last Week Tonight’ Taps ‘Game of Thrones,’ Larry David for 2017 Promo
HBO has a lot to look forward to in 2017, including the returns of both Game of Thrones and Curb Your Enthusiasm, but if British men shouting is your thing, they’ve got you covered too. Welcome back John Oliver for 2017, as HBO goes all-out with the hits to promote Last Week Tonight Season 4.
Having already set a February 12 return date for Last Week Tonight, HBO dropped a star-studded promo to tease the return of its biggest funniest most-anticipated Sunday show. The Game of Thrones cast themselves were likely too busy to play along, but we still got Kumail Nanjiani of Silicon Valley, not to mention a quick dose of Larry David.
The release didn’t include any indication of what topics Oliver will tackle in his return, but suffice to say, there’s been quite a bit to explore since the show signed off in November. That is, to say nothing of whatever absurdity might befall us by February, let alone this weekend.
In the meantime, check out the promo above, and stay tuned for the latest.
