Flint Mayor Karen Weaver gave an update on the water crisis in a press conference at City Hall on Tuesday.

NBC 25 says Weaver talked about the water fund running out of money by the end of the year or sooner, adding staff at the water plant and plans to hire a new director of public works. Weaver then talked about her Fast Start program to replace lead pipes saying they will "have completed 25 of the 30 homes. The remaining will be done by the end of the week." Weaver ended the press conference talking about why she filed a notice of intent to possible sue the state saying "it would have been irresponsible not to take the proper actions to have every option available to us as we work to move Flint forward."
