The event, called "Back to School Kutz" gives boys ages 15 and under free haircuts before they go back to school.

It's the third year that it's been done in Flint, and four barber shops in the area participated. Cory Moore's MVP Cuts was one of them.

He was asked by one of his regular customers to participate and jumped at the chance, saying that it's all about community effort and involvement.

There's no charge, and no tip expected. Moore said that he likes to do it because it gives the kids a rush of good self-esteem to go back to school with. The kids also got a free backpack, filled with school supplies.

Two words: FLINT STRONG.
