Let's all put our nickels and dimes together and help the Holly Marching Band get to Ireland for the St. Patrick's Day parade!

The band has been invited by Paul McAuliffe, the current Lord Mayor of Dublin, Ireland, to perform in the city's infamous St. Patrick's Day parade next year. And, just like everything else in life, that will cost money - and a LOT of it.

Band director Ben Baldwin has partnered with Delila Brown at Szott Ford (who does NOT have a child in the band but just wants to help) to throw a Comedy Night to raise $4,000 for band instrument transportation.

It's this Friday at the VFW on LeRoy St. in Fenton - doors open at 7:30 PM, the show starts at 8 PM. Admission is $10 at the door and will include tons of raffles and silent auctions.

As a former percussion player, marching band lover and current Irish dance teacher, I am SO THRILLED for the band! Let's help them get to the Emerald Isle!
