It's pretty early in the season but we're already getting reports of closed beaches due to high bacteria levels. This time around it's Bluebell Beach in Genesee that's closed until further notice.

According to ABC12, the bacteria levels at Bluebell Beach are about 25% over the limit for swimming. The beach will remain closed until bacteria levels drop to an acceptable level.

While the waterfront remains closed, the splash pad and park will stay open. Good luck taking your kids to the beach and telling them they can only play in the park and they're not allowed in the water.

The Genesee County Health Department tests the water every week during beach season which runs from Memorial Day to Labor Day.

If you were hoping to get out to the beach this weekend, there's still plenty of beaches in the area that are open for you to check out.
