40-year-old Gregory M. Schultz pleaded guilty to four counts of second degree criminal sexual conduct with a victim younger than 13.

Schultz will not serve life in prison in exchange for his guilty plea. Prosecutors agreed to dismiss four counts of first degree criminal sexual conduct. Schultz made the decision to plead guilty rather than deal with a jury. The charge is punishable by up to 15 years in prison.

According to reports the 40-year-old man committed the sexual conduct between 2008 and 2014. The victim was 4-years-old at the start of the abuse and ended when the child was 10-years-old in 2014.

Police started the investigation after the boy came forward. Schultz confessed to the crimes after being questioned by the police.

Schultz was sentenced to a maximum of three years probation in 2014 for domestic violence and was discharged in June of 2015.

Schultz will be sentenced at 1:30pm on April 3rd.
