AAA Michigan: Statewide Gas Prices Tumble 12 Cents

AAA Michigan reports for the second week in a row, the statewide average weekly gas price has dropped. Michigan's current statewide average is about $2.33 per gallon, down 12 cents from last week.

Of the cities surveyed by AAA for self-serve unleaded fuel, the lowest average price can be found in the Flint area where it's about $2.24 a gallon. The highest averages can be found in the Marquette area where it's about $2.42 per gallon.

AAA says ample domestic supplies are expected to temper any regional price spikes and before the end of the year, drivers could see the national average fall below $2 per gallon for the first time since 2009.
