For the first time since November 2015, statewide gas prices have topped $2 per gallon. AAA Michigan reports the current statewide average is $2.02 per gallon, about five cents more than last week's average.

Of the ten Michigan metro areas surveyed by AAA for self-serve unleaded fuel prices, the lowest average can be found in the Ann Arbor area where it's about $1.98 per gallon. The highest average can be found in the Marquette area where it's about $2.07 per gallon. Gas prices in and around the Flint area were averaging $2.03 as of Sunday.

AAA says pump prices remain under pressure due to the spring refinery maintenance season and increasing demand for gasoline. Yearly savings persist but are beginning to narrow.
