Gas prices have decreased from last week, AAA Michigan reports. Michigan's current statewide average is about $2.31 per gallon, about ten cents less than last week, and over $1.40 less than the same time last year.

Of the cities surveyed by AAA, the cheapest price for self-serve unleaded fuel can be found in the Grand Rapids-Muskegon-Holland area, where it's about $2.22 a gallon. The highest average gas price can be found in the Detroit area, where it's about $2.34 per gallon. Gas prices in and around the Flint area are averaging $2.26 per gallon.
