For the fourth consecutive week, gas prices in Michigan have dropped at least six cents or more from the previous week according to AAA Michigan. The current statewide average is about $2.55 per gallon.

Of the cities surveyed by AAA for self serve unleaded fuel, the lowest average price can be found in the Benton Harbor area, where it's about $2.44 per gallon. The highest average can be found in the Traverse City area where it's about $2.63 a gallon. Gas prices in Flint are almost in the middle of the lowest and highest averages with prices around $2.52 per gallon.

AAA says the global oil market touched multi-month lows in reaction to signals that the market is likely to remain oversupplied in the near term, which is expected to keep downward pressure on prices and that supply continues to outpace domestic demand.
