AAA Michigan reports that the statewide average daily gas price has dropped nine cents in the last week. According to AAA, Michigan's current statewide average is just under $2 per gallon with prices around $1.98 per gallon.

Of the ten Michigan metro areas surveyed by AAA for self-serve unleaded fuel prices, the lowest average price can be found in the Saginaw/Bay City/Midland area where it's about $1.89 a gallon. The highest average can be found in the Marquette area where it's about $2.04 per gallon. Gas prices in and around Flint were just slightly higher than the state average with prices of $1.91 as of Sunday.

AAA says the switchover to summer-blend gasoline has already taken place. However, the blend cost more to produce and drivers will likely notice higher prices over the next few weeks.
