AAA Michigan: Gas Prices Inch Up Heading into Holiday Weekend

Heading into the Memorial Day Holiday Weekend, motorists across Michigan will find average gas prices are up this week. According to AAA Michigan, the current statewide average is just over $3.75 per gallon, up five cents from last week.

Gas prices in and around the Flint area are slightly higher than the state average at just over $3.76 per gallon.

AAA, which surveys 2,800 Michigan gas stations daily, expects drivers will pay lower prices by Memorial Day weekend due to rising supplies. However, AAA cautions that unexpected developments such as issues at a refinery or international events could result in higher costs.
