Three People Shot and Killed in Flint

Three people have been shot and killed in a shooting that took place this morning on the city's southwest side.

According to WNEM, two adults and one boy were killed in the incident. The two adults were confirmed dead at the scene while the boy died while being transported to the hospital.

The family has confirmed that the boy was nine-years-old and 25-year-old James Allen Jr. was one of the two men killed.

The incident happened early Monday morning at the Park West Apartments located just south of Atherton Road and Hammerberg Road.

According to the family member, a vigil is being planned for 8 p.m. Tuesday night at the Westgate Terrace Apartments.

Police are asking the community for help in providing tips on a suspect.
